2020 Boys Summer League

2020 Boys Summer League Rosters and Schedules

Please see the documents below for boys schedule and rosters

(updated with playoff schedule - August 6th at 3:30pm)

West League final day for boys/mens will be on 8/13. Updated schedule below.

Summer League Update (7/8)

  • We had too many players arriving without a mask:  Each and every player is to have his/her own mask (multiple masks, in case one breaks or becomes dirty are recommended).  We will not supply masks.  No mask = you cannot play in your game.  Every player is to have his/her mask "on their face and covering their nose" from the time they leave their vehicle until they step onto the field to play.  Having your mask off while waiting for your game to start is unacceptable.  The only time you are permitted to not wear a mask is when your game is taking place.  Immediately after your game, masks are to, again, be placed on your face until you return to your vehicle.  Any player in violation of this/these will be asked to leave the field area and miss their game that day.  We are going to do a better job of communicating this to our Coaches so that they will also be enforcing this with the players.
  • We had too many players congregating together and not allowing for good social distancing: Starting now, players/spectators will not be allowed to check in/walk to their field until 15 minutes before the start of their game.  If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, you must remain in your car until 15 minutes before the start of your game.  No one will be allowed to loiter around the fields while waiting for their game time (no exceptions).  Many people arrived early yesterday which is typically very appreciated.  However, given the circumstances with Covid 19, we want to avoid people arriving too early to their field.
  • Masks for Coaches: All coaches are required to wear masks (over your nose) the entire time they are 'on the clock' with New Wave.  If they feel the need to remove their mask temporarily, they may go to an isolated area, away from everyone else and do so, then replacing the mask appropriately prior to returning to the group.
  • Parents/Spectators sitting 6-8 feet apart: We had too many groups of people sitting too close together on the sidelines.  Families are obviously allowed to sit together, but we ask that each family have at least 6-8 feet apart from one another on the sidelines.
  • Safety spaces marked with Cones:  This will be implemented next week and will remain throughout the rest of the season.   Cones will be set out on the players sidelines that are 6-8 feet apart.  These cones/safe spots are to be used by players during "pre" and "post" game for them to set their bag at, get their gear on, get a drink of water, etc.  No other people/players will be allowed at a players cone/safe spot.

Summer League Update (7/5)

  • We are using the same reversible that we used in our Summer/Winter leagues. Please bring this if you have it. If you do not have a reversible, we will issue you one on the first day.

  • Games start on time….Do not be late and please be dressed and ready to go at least 15 minutes before the start of your time listed below (on all days after the first day.) so that coaches can get you through your stretches/stick work/warmup before your game starts.  For example, if your start time below is listed as 5:00, please be dressed to go at 4:45.

  • Each team will have approx. 10 minutes of warm-up/practice time and will then play a game that consists of 2 halves that are 20 minutes long. 3 minute halftime. Running clock, no horns, and each team has 1 timeout/game.

  • Please be patient on the first day of the leagues as we work through roster sizes and other minor issues. Most or all teams will have a goalie, but it is possible that your team may not. If this is the case, we will have a temporary goalie that week and a permanent goalie the following week.

  • If roster sizes are a little unbalanced the 1st week, this will be adjusted by the 2nd week.

  • Any weather delays or cancellations due to weather will be emailed out to all players/families ASAP if and when there are updates.

New Summer League Details (2020)
