New Wave Lacrosse

 South Elgin Parks & Recreation and New Wave Lacrosse are partnering to bring you the fastest growing sport in the US. This spring, beginner players will learn how to scoop, pass, catch, shoot, and other basic skills needed to play the game. 

Intermediate players will learn how to dodge and defend in 1 vs 1's, how to run a pick and roll, how to play team defense, and team offense. 

Scrimmages will be set up with neighboring lacrosse groups throughout the session. Teams will also have the opportunity to play in the "Illinois United May Classic" that will take place in May. (This is optional for the players. Last year, this tournament saw over 30 teams from the Chicagoland area that competed in 5 age groups. Equipment is available for rent at a cost of $65.00 for the full session. All players will also receive a New Wave/South Elgin Parks and Recreation reversible to keep.
